I suggest 3D printing in PLA plastic. For 3D STL files to print see:- Crewe Tractor Ford Model T by Bblr - Thingiverse, Crewe Tractor railway frame and wheels by Bblr - Thingiverse, and Motorising the Crewe Tractor railway frame by Bblr - Thingiverse .
Some sample trench railway wagons for the Crewe Tractor to pull can be found at Trench railway wagons for the Crewe Tractor by Bblr - Thingiverse This plastic takes detail well and is easy to print. It is however susceptible to high temperatures so do avoid leaving the completed vehicle in strong sunlight for long periods. Superglue works well with PLA. Some parts may show signs of stringing. This can be removed by scraping with a knife blade or brushing with a small wire brush. The plastic takes Tamiya acrylic paints well and also their spray cans intended for plastic models. Some parts, such as the wheels and railway chassis may be best painted before assembly. The STL files for the additional parts to display the Crewe Tractor in road going form can be found at:-Crewe Tractor road wheels and lights by Bblr - Thingiverse |
